What Is A Virus?

A virus is a computer program or script written by someone with malicious intent to do harm to unsuspecting computer users. How they do it varies, however you are at risk to get a virus every time you access the internet or use someone else's floppy disk, CD, or USB flash drive. It is important to have a good anti-virus program installed on your computer. For this, we recommend a free program called Avast. You can download it here: Avast!

Do I Have A Virus?

Some of the most common symptoms of a virus include: unwanted popups, slow computer, blue screen, computer cycles, and programs installed that you don't recognize.

I Have a Virus What Do I Do?

If you already have a virus there is still hope. Simply run any Anti-Virus program. If the program finds a virus simply find an option to either quarantine it, delete it, or fix it. Sometimes, not even an anti-virus program can pick up on all viruses. This is because new viruses are being created every day and the virus program may not have been updated to detect it. It is very important to keep all anti-virus software updated.

It Still Did Not Work, What Do I Do Now?

If you ran an anti-virus program and it did not see a virus, or you are unable to access your computer feel free to bring it on in. We charge a low deposit and once it is fixed we apply it to your bill or apply a partial refund if the repair is less. We use several sophisticated virus scanners that can fix most viruses no matter how sneaky. On top of that, we have dedicated staff which can dig in to find it even if our scanners cannot.

How Long Will It Take To Repair?

The time it will take to repair an issue will greatly vary upon what needs to be fixed, how complex the fix is, and if our scanners can pick it up. The best way to tell how long it will take is to bring it in.
